BRIERART + DESIGN + VINTAGE← THE STUDIO WALL

STUDIO NOTES / NO. 01

A collector’s eye.
An artist’s hand.

An eye for the past. A hand in what comes next.

A Cavalier King Charles Spaniel carrying a paintbrush felt like a pretty good place to start. I have a soft spot for Cavaliers, and this one gets to sign the work. A useful member of the team.

THE SIGNATURE / FROM THE ORIGINAL 2026 ARTWORK

THE GUIDING PRINCIPLE

Lasting form.
A little character.
Time leaves its mark.

I wanted the identity to feel at home on paper, packaging, or a studio wall. Clear lettering, warm colors, and a dog with a job. The materials can show their age; the logo needs to stay readable.

03 / THE DETAILS

Made to live
on objects.

Artist certificates, correspondence cards, hangtags, packaging, paper goods, and the occasional well-placed dog.

Serif type, simple labels, and the occasional italic. I wanted it to feel familiar, with enough personality to be mine.

Preserve proportions, keep clear space, and use the supplied one-color artwork without adding distress to the mark.
